Day Wise Detailed Itinerary of Lama Dugh Trek

 

Lama Dugh, which translates to “Lama’s Meadow,” is the highlight of this trek. Nestled at an altitude of approximately 2,650 meters, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the majestic Himalayan range. The vast expanse of green meadows, sprinkled with colourful alpine flowers, creates a surreal setting that seems straight out of a postcard.

It is considered a moderate trek, making it suitable for beginners as well as experienced trekkers. The trail is well-defined, with occasional steep sections that require a moderate level of fitness. Along the way, trekkers encounter friendly local villagers, providing an opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage of the region. Day 01 Arrive at Old Manali and start the Lamadugh Trek

Trek starts near Hadimba Temple – It is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, wife of Bhima, a figure in the Indian epic Mahabharata. Gently walk through the thick forest of Cedar and Oak the walk offers you a panoramic view of Manali town and upper Kullu valley. Gentle ascending through the Manalsu River valley the gentle slopes with lush green meadows of Lamadugh presents the beautiful campsite with a majestic vista of the surrounding.

Day 02 Departure from Homestay in Manali

After breakfast, we explore the Lamadugh area up to lunch. After lunch trek down to Manali through the beautiful pine forest and enjoy the downhill walk with a nice view of Kullu Valley and Manali town.
